On Tuesday, the 8th of October, 4th Class went to the local library to watch an experiment. This experiment showed how our digestive system works. The presentation was given by three scientists from UCC. The boys learned about all the different parts of our digestive system and the role that each of them play in the digestion of food. Then they participated in an experiment where they made poo using Bran Flakes and other chemicals that represent the acids and good bacteria in our stomachs that aid digestion. The boys thoroughly enjoyed it and learned lots of new interesting facts.
