At the Get Involved awards presentation on Thursday May 11th, in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown, St Patricks BNS won joint first prize.
The ceremony included a two-minute ‘Dragon’s Den’-style presentation to the judges and a short film of each project will screened on the day.
Last Friday, the judges were shown around the Skibbereen school garden by enthusiastic young pupils involved in the impressive project who imparted a lot of the valuable knowledge and life skills they had learned from it. Principal Alan Foley and teacher Brian Granaghan who led the initiative, along with other staff members of the school, were on hand, along with Sean Mahon, managing director, and Con Downing, editor of ‘The Southern Star.’
