Next Generation EU funded project
This school now has high speed broadband connectivity through the Department of Education School Broadband Programme, delivered as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.
This school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This funding was used to invest in tablets in the junior end of the school to ensure equal access among our younger learners. The funding was used in the senior classes to support the establishment of our laptop scheme wherby each pupil had their own laptop for school work and for homework. Finally, we invested in new interactive screens for each classroom. The NextGenerationEU funding was essential for each of these initiatives.”
